Making Things Grow Indoors: Succulents

April 26 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Create Your Own Succulent Garden!

Looking for an easy, beautiful way to bring life and color to your outdoor space this year? A succulent garden might be the answer! While no garden truly runs itself, these hardy, low-maintenance plants come close.

Join Michael Weishan—former PBS host and nationally recognized garden designer—for a fun, hands-on two-hour seminar all about succulents. You’ll learn how to combine unique shapes, colors, and textures to create your own miniature landscape—perfect for a sunny window, porch, deck, or patio.

During this interactive session, you’ll explore:

  • Succulent basics: What makes them special and which varieties to try.

  • Growth habits: How to choose plants that will thrive together over time.

  • Care essentials: Tips for watering, light, and soil.

  • Design magic: Simple tricks for creating an eye-catching display.

  • Ongoing care: Easy maintenance for lasting beauty.

What to bring: Your enthusiasm—and a wide, shallow bowl or planter with a drainage hole (up to 12”).
What we provide: Soil, gravel, and a gorgeous assortment of succulents available for purchase to complete your creation.

You’ll leave with a living work of art and all the know-how to keep it thriving. Come grow something special!

Suitable for ages 12 and up. Limited to 20 participants.
