Dahlia Care and Bouquet Workshop

Dahlia care: Each student will receive 2+ dahlia tubers + 1  shoe container full of vermiculite + a printed dahlia care guide. They will learn how to divide and store their tubers, and will each do this during class. They will also learn planting and care instructions for the Spring.

Dahlia bouquet: Each student will receive a tutorial on how to design a hand-tied dahlia bouquet and will take home a bouquet of locally grown dahlias from our collection.

About the instructor: Niki Pinckney is the Owner of Pepper & Fern Floral Design, and is a resident of Southboro. She grows hundreds of dahlias in her home gardens, as part of her weekly floral CSA. Niki is passionate about teaching others to create beautiful designs from their own gardens. She teaches regularly at the New England Botanical Gardens – Tower Hill, and hosts her own private and public workshops on a variety of topics.
