An Evening Of Brahms, Friday November 13th 7:30 PM
Brahms wrote his chamber works for salons, not concert halls — for evenings among friends where the music was the occasion and the company was the point. The Southborough Salon Series returns to that tradition — and to a room built for it.
Join us for an opening reception in the Long Gallery, followed by an all-Brahms chamber program in the Assembly Hall, whose acoustics are near perfect for music at this intimate scale.
Cello Sonata No. 1 in E Minor, op.28 and Piano Trio No 1 in B Major, Op. 8
Seating is limited to fifty. $25 members / $30non-members, refreshments included
